The first stage of this initiative will last until February 22 and is aimed at foreign tourists, it will target Latin American tourists by the end of this month, and from March 15 it will become worldwide. Minister Perez said Peruvians may travel to the Imperial City by plane with tickets worth US$49 and stay in good hotels paying 70 soles. “It is an opportunity never seen before in Cusco,” he added. “Peruvians must seize this occasion to promote travels not only among adults or young people but also with the whole family. It has always been said that it is expensive to visit Cusco but now we can help people from Cusco and have fun at the same time,” he added. Lima, Feb. 10 (ANDINA).- Peru's Foreign Trade Minister Martin Perez said the “Cusco half-price” campaign will come into force starting from Thursday seeking to offset the drop in foreign visitors due to heavy rains.
