Minister Garcia Belaunde said that once Chile submits its counter-memorial, he will meet with representatives of Peru's defense team to review the content of the Chilean document. "On March 9, at the latest, Chile will file its counter-memorial and only then the Peruvian side will meet with lawyers and legal experts to discuss the document," he said. Garcia Belaunde made these statements after presiding over a special meeting of the Andean Council of Foreign Ministers which was held on Friday in Lima. The foreign minister explained that following the filing of the counter-memorial by Chile, the Peruvian team -led by Ambassador Allan Wagner- will review the document in order to prepare its reply. Lima, Feb. 07 (ANDINA).- Foreign Minister Jose Antonio Garcia Belaunde said that Peru will not comment on the content of Chile’s counter-memorial until its official presentation at the International Court of Justice in The Hague, which should be done no later than March 9, 2010.
