Lima, Feb. 09 (ANDINA).- Peru’s President Alan Garcia announced this morning the decision of Peru to donate 10 million dollars to rebuild schools and water distribution systems affected by the earthquake that struck Haiti on 12 January 2010.
Speaking at the Union of South American Nations (UNASUR) meeting, Garcia said that if all countries make similar contributions, a fund of about $100 million could be created to finance the reconstruction of this nation.
